Let me just state that this post MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS, it is NOT CONFIRMED OR OFFICIAL and that I DON’T UNDERSTAND THIS SUDDEN COMPULSION TO TYPE IN ALL CAPS.
Someone else has come forward on IMDB, saying that they’ve seen the Jurassic World trailer (which, by the way, will be released on the Internet 4 or 5 days before it hits theaters) and holy cow, this had better be accurate, because it sounds perfect.
Here’s the link, and I strongly encourage reading through: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0369610/board/nest/236517782?ref_=tt_bd_1
We get a very vague look at what I’m assuming is the D-rex (described as “kinda chubby”*, a huge light show that shines through the Mosasaur tank (it says “giant sea creature” but we all know what that means, this ain’t Shamu), “little flying dinosaurs inside huge cages” that the author hasn’t seen in other JP movies, and a raptor attack:
“And the greatest and most amazing shot in the trailer comes along. A lone velociraptor comes out of the jungle and jumps towards the camera in slowmotion, and we see that it attacks another huge dinosaur which we don’t see.
We only see the part where raptor puts his claws on, and it has a weird texture. It looked like it had transparent layer, on top of his inner skin which has a rustic color. It looked cool, even for a spilt second.”
Overall, the trailer is described as “incredibly moody and dark”. I really hope this is accurate; it doesn’t seem to quite match the descriptions given by other people and OH MAN I JUST REMEMBERED THIS WAS PART OF IT:
“[…] Then we see little kids petting a baby triceratops, and in the background there’s an adult one, fed by people but it’s in the distance and blurred. […]”
Gentle Giants Petting Zoo is happening! (http://archiveofourown.org/works/2108205 for the newbies).
I guess all we can do for now is wait and see which description is real. I hope this one is, though, because can you just picture the shot of the light show shining through the mosasaur tank? I just wanna see the thing lurking in the dark at the bottom of its tank, swimming back and forth and brooding.
Do you guys think this is real? Do you prefer it over the other trailer descriptions? Tell everyone in the comments!
If that baby triceratops isn’t named Ralph, I’m gonna riot.
